Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

This event has been cancelled.

Adelphi University has been chosen as an official drug take-back site.

This National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is offered to provide the public with an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by properly disposing of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs; no questions asked. The proper disposal of drugs also prevents them from becoming an environmental hazard in our water.

Part of Alcohol Awareness Month. This is an alcohol-free event. #PanthersCheerAlcoholAwareness

This event is open to the community, with disposal handled by Nassau County Police Department and the DEA.

There will be an on-campus collection on Friday, April 24, 2020, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m in the Office of Public Safety and Transportation in Levermore Hall room 113 for the entire Adelphi community. As an incentive, Human Resources will allow all Take Back Day participants to wear jeans to work on this day.

Sponsored by the National Safety Council. Part of Alcohol Awareness Month. This is an alcohol-free event. #PanthersCheerAlcoholAwareness

This event is co sponsored by Public Safety, Counseling Services and the American Drug Enforcement Agency.
